Iris Infusions is an oriental-woody fragrance created by Daniela Roche-Andrier of Givaudan in collaboration with Miuccia Prada. Its name is inspired by the production method of iris extract of classic perfumery which required six long months of soaking. A perfume all in harmony that offers a shade that inspires freshness and durability at the same time. It evokes what for many is a dream: the trip to Italy, the fresh smell of crumpled linen sheets and bare skin. An elegant modern iris, more woody than flowery or powdery, slightly oriental and green.
Respect for tradition is fundamental for Prada; although the maison always presents itself in an absolutely contemporary and innovative way, its roots are in fact recognizable and very solid. The main ingredient of the perfume is the tender iris which permeates the entire composition. At the beginning its fragrance develops in its delicate form, accompanied by violets. Then the refreshing notes of orange blossom and mandarin are added. In the nuance of the perfume the softness of the iris is then accompanied by the warm cedar and the sweet benzoin, which adds a sensual intensity to the perfume.
