This fragrance was created in 1959 from Jean-Paul Guerlain, who tried to convey to us the dualism of nature: cold and hot, balance and bewilderment. Its olfactory pyramid begins with fresh and citrus notes, like bergamot, lemon, orange and grapefruit, giving an impression very similar to the classical colony of the time, but that aroma quickly disappears to make way for its more virile and intense notes: tobacco leaves, pepper and nutmeg, spicy nuances that in the 50s and 60s were totally linked to masculinity.
